In a moment of deep mourning, the Kapoor family came together to pay their last respects to Nirmal Kapoor, the mother of veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who passed away at the age of 90. She breathed her last on Friday, May 2, after a brief hospital stay at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai.
On Saturday morning, family members and close friends gathered at her residence for the antim darshan (final viewing). Present at the solemn ceremony were Anil Kapoor, his brothers Boney and Sanjay Kapoor, along with other family members including Sunita Kapoor, Maheep Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, and Sonam Kapoor.
Several well-known faces from the film industry also came to offer their condolences, including Neila Devi, wife of the late Shammi Kapoor, and veteran actor Anupam Kher.
On Friday evening, Anil Kapoor was seen bringing his mother’s mortal remains home in an ambulance, accompanied by his brother Sanjay, sister Reena Kapoor, and nephew Arjun Kapoor.
The family has announced that Nirmal Kapoor’s funeral will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 11:30 AM at the Vile Parle Crematorium on S.V. Road in Mumbai.
